Eric D. Grahling, M.D.

Eric Grahling. M.D. is the medical director and founder of Comprehensive Pain Management of Central Connecticut, LLC.  He is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine.  He has studied and trained at institutions among the most prestigious in the United States. 

Dr. Grahling was named one of the "Top 150 Pain Management Physicians to Know" in the U.S. according to Becker's ACS Review in 2012. There were only two Pain Management Physicians named from Connecticut. (See complete list here).

Dr. Grahling grew up in upstate New York and attended Harvard University as an undergraduate graduating with high honors in organic chemistry.  He earned his MD degree at the University of California at Los Angeles and then pursued a medical internship at the Cabrini Medical Center in New York City.

Shawn Putnam, A.P.R.N.

Shawn Putnam joined the practice in 2009. He grew up in upstate New York and attended the State University of New York at Potsdam with a degree in biology. He then attended Springfield College and received his Master of Science in exercise physiology. Mr. Putnam next earned his master’s degree as a nurse practitioner (NP) at Boston College. He worked as a floor nurse and then as a NP at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for several years before moving to Connecticut.

Kellyann Kosma, A.P.R.N.

Kellyann Kosma joined the practice in 2013.  She is a lifelong resident of Connecticut.  She attended Western Connecticut State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  She worked as a staff nurse at The Hospital of Central Connecticut New Britain campus and Hartford Hospital.  Mrs. Kosma has worked in the emergency department, critical care unit and cardiac telemetry unit.  She attended Quinnipiac University and earned a Master of Science in Nursing with an Adult Nurse Practitioner focus.  Mrs. Kosma graduated with high honors from Quinnipiac University and was given the Trewin award for academic achievement.  She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.  Mrs. Kosma is a member of CT APRNS and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
