Comprehensive Pain Management

Comprehensive Pain Management of Central Connecticut is proud to have served the central Connecticut community for over a decade since September 2007.  We continue to provide efficient and compassionate pain care for patients in multiple locations.  We look forward to many more years of dedication to patients suffering with pain and appreciate continued widespread support and trust.

Question to consider: Does the location of where I have my procedure done affect the cost to me?

Answer:  Absolutely YES!!!!

Explanation:  Doctors that refer patients for treatment of pain that may include injection type treatments consistently do not understand that the location of where the care is provided (called “site of service”) dramatically affects the cost to you, the patient.  If you have treatments in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center (ASC), the cost for these will be much higher than if you were to have the same procedure in an office based setting such as at Comprehensive Pain Management of Central Connecticut.  This is because hospitals and ASC’s are known as “facilities” and these locations are reimbursed by insurance companies (including Medicare) at a significantly higher rate than an office.  A substantial chunk of that increased payment will be placed on you, the patient.  We are the only AAAHC accredited office based pain management practice in the state of CT.  Injections in our office usually entail just paying an office copay.  This is much less expensive to you that having treatment at a facility such as a hospital or ASC.

At Comprehensive Pain Management of Central Connecticut, our goal is to provide you with the most state-of-the-art care for your pain.  We specialize in caring for patients with pain related to the spine with a focus on back and neck pain.  In addition, we have expertise in treating all other chronic pain conditions, including, but not limited to: cancer pain, headache pain, complex regional pain syndrome (formerly called RSD), muscle pain and spasm, shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia), nerve pain, work injury pain, sports injury pain and motor vehicle accident related pain.

We are proud to be a leader in providing progressive patient care, with a state of the art office featuring plenty of free parking, easy highway access, and very little waiting time.  We are equipped to perform most minimally invasive procedures in our modern procedure rooms, always striving to protect your privacy and maximize your comfort and safety.

Treatment plans are specifically designed for each individual to reduce pain, improve function and maximize quality of life.

Dr. Grahling, the owner and founder of Comprehensive Pain Management, is the only Board Certified, fellowship (ACGME) trained pain physician in Bristol, Southington and Plainville.

Eric Grahling, M.D. was named among the "Top 150 Pain Management Physicians to Know" in the U.S. according to Becker's ASC Review in 2012.  This is quite an honor as there are only two Pain Management physicans from Connecticut listed among this group.  Read the complete list here.
