Shawn Putnam joined the practice in 2009. He grew up in upstate New York and attended the State University of New York at Potsdam with a degree in biology. He then attended Springfield College and received his Master of Science in exercise physiology. Mr. Putnam next earned his master’s degree as a nurse practitioner (NP) at Boston College. He worked as a floor nurse and then as a NP at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for several years before moving to Connecticut.
Mr. Putnam works closely with Dr. Grahling at diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pain conditions. He has joined Dr. Grahling as a member of the Connecticut State Pain Society. He enjoys working with patients to find the best treatment plan for each individual. “It is greatly satisfying to improve patient’s quality of life and functional capacity.”
